The Front Yard Restaurant is a dream come true for 3 young entrepreneurs: Daniel Atanasov, Jacob Rakovic and Darren Shurriah. Our history started exactly ten years ago when we moved to this Beautiful Place By the Sea and experienced our first busy summer working in the hospitality and food industry here in Ogunquit. It was then we promised each other that one day we will own our own restaurant, one where customers will get the customer service they deserve and enjoy amazing food prepared by a top chef.
During the past ten years, Daniel and Jacob have worked and gained the necessary restaurant experience needed to someday run their own place. Daniel continued his career by managing restaurants in Ogunquit. During this time Jacob took the opportunity to manage a busy waterfront restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Darren spent the last ten years learning the skills to become one of the best Sous Chefs in Ogunquit. The dream of the Front Yard would never have come true without a top chef.
The Front Yard Restaurant is proud to have Guillermo Ocampo-Memo as our Executive Chef. Chef Memo’s talent as a chef is was what sparked our dream of owning our own restaurant. With his 30 years of experience as a chef, Memo has created a menu that will be sure to amaze even those with the most sophisticated palate.
The Front Yard Signature Dish is bouillabaisse. Chef Memo combines shrimp, scallops, white fish, mussels, clams, and homemade pappardelle, spiced with a dash of saffron to create this spectacular seafood entrée. If this does not sound amazing enough, he will be topping the dish with a fresh half of a Maine lobster.
